These cards are printed using the traditional ‘hot foil process’. This unique process, not offered by many of our competitors can create stunning visual effects with the use of vibrant gloss or metallic colours printed on the surface of 760 micron credit card quality PVC cards.
Black Cards…
Our black cards – along with our Clear ‘Frosted’ Cards – are becoming the natural choices for customers who are looking for a stylish, contemporary image for their organisation. These cards come in a smooth silk finish which contrasts well with our metallic print colours, with silver print being particularly effective.
To add a special effect we can print a gloss black graphic or text over part of the card to give a varnish like impression which will make your card even more noticeable.
Other card colours…
We have a wide range of vibrant card colours which are ideal for many uses including Loyalty, membership, discount or business cards. All of these cards have a gloss finish. See our card colour chart for a list of all available card colours.
Print Colours…
All of our Black & base colour Plastic Cards can be printed in up to 3 colours, on one or both sides, in a wide range of gloss and metallic colours. See our print colour chart for a list of all available print colours. The colours must be separate colours (or spot colours as they are officially known) without any shading or large areas of solid colour. See our artwork page for full requirements.
Card Size & Thickness…
All of our Black & Coloured Plastic Cards are printed on credit card grade plastic. They are 760 micron thick, measuring 86mm × 54mm, with rounded corners.
As with all of our plastic card products, we offer a wide range of optional extra features:
Signature Panels
A white matt area can be added to your card for members or customers to write on. You may have more than one signature strip if necessary.
Holo effect foil
We can print your cards using a special metallic foil which appears similar to the holograms often seen on the rear of credit cards and can add stunning effects to your cards.
Embossing
Personalisation of cards with raised names, numbers etc as on credit cards. Embossing is only available on 760 micron thickness cards. Embossed characters may be coloured in black, silver or gold.

Two Colour Simulated Hologram
We can show simple images using silver or gold on a holofoil background to create a simulated hologram. This is a great way of adding prestige or a security feature to your plastic card.
Photoseals
We can attach clear self – adhesive flaps to your cards. This enables you to stick a paper ID photo to your cards. Alternatively this will protect any written information on the card from wearing off. (e.g. important medical information relating to the card holder). Simply tear off the backing and press the film onto your card. (this is not intended as a security feature and can be removed )
Holes & Slots
We can punch holes (approx. 5mm diameter) or slots (14 × 3mm) in your cardsTo enable you to attach accessories such as lanyards or luggage straps. You could also use as identification tags using cable ties or similar fixings.
Sequential numbers
We can print individual sequential numbers on your cards in a maximum of 6 digits.
